Title: "The Value of Nothing: How Silence Can Teach and Help Us"
Description: Koshin Christopher Cain is Abbot of the Puget Sound Zen Center. Koshin was born in 1965 and grew up in London, England, and Raleigh, North Carolina. After studying Zen 13 years in a monastic setting, he moved to Vashon Island and became the founding teacher of the Puget Sound Zen Center. Since 2009, Koshin has been the teacher of the Rinzai Zen Center in Oslo, Norway. He is married to Lidunn Cain, and they have a son, Lars, born in 2001, and daughter Eva, born in 2004.

Description: How can we use contemplative awakening and awareness to strengthen our commitment to hospitality? What is "spirituality" and is it meaningful? Rev. Carmen explores the connection between spirituality and social justice.

Title: " All The Colors " - Rev. Carmen McDowell
Description: Connecting to Unitarian roots in Czechoslovakia, we will celebrate the annual Flower Communion. Each week we declare, "No matter who you are, who you love, or how you arrived here, you are welcome!" In our difference, we are strong and beautiful, like a bouquet of diverse flowers. Bring a flower or two to share. New members will be recognized and celebrated.
